The phenomenon of “The Voice” has swept across the world and is still growing.
Now adapted in 62 regions of the world, this riveting show has brought us some heart stopping moments where the audience have been stunned by the quality of the live vocals of the contestants. We’re focusing on covers of Ed Sheeran songs to show just how fantastic the standard of international competition has become.
1/ The first singers are Chimobi vs Vinchenzo Tahapary singing “I See Fire” on season 7 of (The Voice of Holland). Although 18 year old Pleun Bierbooms went on to win the show many people will remember this fantastic Battle Round.
2/ Next is Josephine Seehawer (The Voice of Germany) singing “Wake Me Up”. She does a great job both vocally and with the familiar laid back style Sheeran made his own.
3/ Then from “The Voice of Croatia” Alen Duras singing “Thinking Out Loud”, one of Ed’s most recognizable songs. Looking like “the guy next door” he delivers a beautiful and subtle performance which touched the hearts of both the coaches and audience
4/ “The Voice of Thailand” brought us โฟม กิติคุณ singing ‘Don’t’. Well, “don’t” ask us to pronounce his name but he performs a nearly flawless performance of what is one of the more difficult of Ed Sheeran’s songs to sing live.
4/ Finally there is 27 year old Luke Koteras from Sydney, New South Wales (The Voice Australia). Luke, now rocking in a band with previous “Voice” artists Chris Sebastian and Michael Duchesne really made Sheeran’s “The A Team” his own!
Don’t forget the USA version of the show is back in September with season 13, can’t wait!
